Julio Marco

Spain Representative

Mr Marco is a Professor of Business Development at several universities and business schools in Madrid and Barcelona (Universidad Europea, Universidad de Castilla La Mancha, BioForum and Fundacion Ortega Y Gasset).

He was managing director of Automobiles Hispano Aleman from 1985-1992. From 1992-1996 he was Director of the Universidad Europea, after which he joined World Telecom as a director until 1999. From 1999-2001 he was Partner of Spark Inversiones and Milenio Capital, two venture capital funds investing in IT and healthcare.

He joined Katana Trading, a Spanish investment banking boutique representing Gilde in Spain, in 2002 and joined Gilde Healthcare I in 2004 as an independent Spanish representative.

He holds a masters degree in Economics and an MBA from Instituto de Impresa de Madrid. Mr Marco is a Spanish national.

He assists in generating deal flow from Spain, carrying out initial screening for Spanish deals and investor relations.
