Gilde co-led the first financing round and supported the company through all its subsequent rounds of financing. Since its first financing round, BG Medicine, has optimized, industrialized and validated its systems pharmacology platform and initiated collaborations with AstraZeneca, Boehringer Ingelheim, FDA, GSK, Novartis, Philips, Mitsubishi Pharma and the Global Alliance for TB Drug Development. As co-lead investor and through its representation in the board Gilde is closely involved in the evolution of BG Medicine.
