Inpharmatica specialises in the use of predictive products and services in medicinal chemistry and ADME to improve the speed and productivity of drug discovery. It offers its customers discovery technologies and services that span the full breadth of research from target through to candidate selection in return for service fees.

Gilde invested in the second financing round and supported the company through all its subsequent rounds of financing. Through its board representation Gilde was closely involved in the corporate and exit strategy. Following the investment, Inpharmatica continued to optimize its product offering and broaden its customer base. In December 2006, Inpharmatica was acquired by Galapagos NV (Euronext & London AIM: GLPG).
